Alexei Petrovich

Son of Peter I and Eudoxia Lopukhina, and heir to the throne, who came into bitter conflict with his father. After fleeing abroad and returning to Russia, he was accused of treason, sentenced to death and died in prison in 1718. His son Peter later became emperor.
